The Crêpe Factory® brings a taste of France to Upstate South Carolina with our sweet and savory crêpes, delightful egg dishes, cozy homemade pub offerings and more!
We first opened our doors in downtown Spartanburg's Morgan Square in 2016, and have been serving delicious crêpes, and so much more, ever since! There is something on our menu for everyone... young and old, the light eater or the hearty appetite!
In 2020 we decided to search for a new location for the restaurant. Having survived the pandemic and all its challenges, we looked for a building that had more space in order to expand our menu and increase seating. The renovation on our building (the former Bailes Collins Crain department store) was finished in October of 2021 and we opened our doors to a supportive and enthusiastic community. As one of the first restaurants in downtown Inman, we have enjoyed watching the growth that has taken place. It's exciting to be a part of the revitalization of a truly dynamic downtown!
Come visit us and experience our interactive mural which captures Inman's past and present, and provides the perfect photo backdrop. Our industrial chic décor, original photos of Inman's landmarks, and stunning cedar bar provides a warm, relaxing and inviting environment. Its vintage charm makes it a beloved gathering place within the community. So, cozy up and stay a while.
After twenty-six years in education, Denise retired and decided to embark on a new challenge, restaurant ownership. In 2016 her journey in the restaurant business began in 2016 with her friend Elaine. Together they opened The Crêpe Factory.® They ran the Morgan Square location until Elaine retired in 2019 when she was promoted to a new title, Gigi!
As a restaurant owner, Denise's greatest challenge came in 2020 with the arrival of Covid. She kept the restaurant open during that time to serve essential workers and first responders. At the end of 2020 her lease ended, and she began her search for a new location.
In 2021, armed with a wealth of knowledge and experiences from the downtown Spartanburg location, Denise opened her second, and current, restaurant in downtown Inman. It was her desire to create a dining experience in Inman that seamlessly blended global influences with local ingredients.
Beyond the kitchen, Denise is deeply connected to her community. Through partnerships with local organizations, Denise contributes to the well-being of the community that has embraced her restaurant. She currently sits on a number of boards that help promote opportunities for small business owners.
Denise is the proud mother of two adult boys that currently both reside in Texas with their wives. She recently earned a new title - Grandma! Denise is owned by Rooney, a four-year old Double Doodle.
